Texan billionaire Friedkin reached an agreement with James Pallotta for the purchase of the club. Will Fonseca lead the team with a new sporting director?

The 2019-20 campaign of the Giallorossi is now over and the club of Trigoria seems to be on the verge of a global change to return to the football elite.

Reportedly, the position of Paulo Fonseca as a leader of the team is under assessment and the club also needs a new sporting director, a role currently uncovered due to the departure of Gianluca Petrachi.

If Fonseca will be confirmed on the bench of the Giallorossi, the Portuguese coach should have a clear idea of the tactical system he wants to implement next season. If the 3-4-2-1 will be confirmed, Roma may decide to trade most of its wingers out.

The defensive line must be strengthened as soon as possible. Reportedly, the Lupi are currently still working on bringing Chris Smalling back to the Eternal City.

A new sporting director will be necessary as well. While many Roma fans seem to be dreaming of Walter Sabatini, other professionals are linked to the club of Trigoria at this time (Paratici, Berta, Burdisso, Pradè, and Orta).

Roma is therefore projected to the future. Important choices must be made in order to return to the football elite. The qualification to the Champions League will be one of the main goals to achieve. But the fans of the glorious team of the Italian capital would love to see their heroes in competition for the Scudetto as well.

The current gap with Juventus is still wide. The Bianconeri recently won the ninth title in a row. Inter already is a very good team with solid ownership, a group ready to make the final step to compete with Agnelli‘s side.

Dan and Ryan Friedkin will develop their business strategy but the fans of the Giallorossi hope that the jewels of the club can remain in the Italian capital to consolidate a group that has to give much more next season.

With the “The Friedkin Group” almost at the helm of the ship and Pedro reportedly joining the Lupi, the club of Trigoria is already making steps ahead towards a future that everyone hopes to be glorious.
