The Friedkin Group finalized the acquisition of AS Roma today. The American investor seems to be ready to develop his business plan for a great future.
Today certainly is a historic day for AS Roma and its fans. The club of Trigoria is now owned by The Friedkin Group after their successful takeover from the former President of the Giallorossi James Pallotta.
The Texan investor expressed his happiness for this deal and praised Roma’s CEO Guido Fienga:
“Guido Fienga has proven to be a great CEO of Roma and together we have developed an ambitious and disciplined business plan.”
— Dan Friedkin said to the AS Roma official website
The passionate fans of the Giallorossi are excited about the beginning of a new era for their beloved club. Their main desire is to see a competitive team on the pitch, a roster able to return to the Champions League and challenge the top Italian sides for the Scudetto.
The new Roma President Dan Friedkin looks to the future of the glorious club of the Eternal City with ambition and confirmed the words of a fan who, as he said, recently asked him to make of Roma an iconic club and one of the greatest names in world football:
“We intend to do just that. Our commitment to Roma is total.”
— Dan Friedkin
The CEO and Chairman of The Friedkin Group knows that the fans of the Lupi all over the world hope Roma can make that necessary leap in quality to win trophies but he clearly stated that he is in favor of sustainable business model:
“Our shared vision of the club and the team is to favor a sustained, long-term investment approach rather than quick fixes of questionable durability.”
— Dan Friedkin
