The Portuguese talent failed to impress in Milan but he could be the right profile for Roma. If Schick will be traded out Leao may be ideal for Fonseca.
Transfer market negotiations can be unexpected at times. The Giallorossi need an offensive player able to consistently play even with Edin Dzeko next season.
Roma is reportedly monitoring many profiles, but the Portuguese talent, who is currently playing for AC Milan, may be a viable option when the 2020-21 season will be over.
Rafael Leao (21) has physicality, speed, strength, and technical skills to carry on the weight of the Roma offensive line when needed. Due to his ability to start from the left offensive flank, he may also be a great option to play together with the Bosnian star at times.
His first Serie A season has not been great, though (23 caps, 2 goals, 2 assists). The Giallorossi had monitored the player in recent years and if Leao will fail to impress at AC Milan even during this season finale, the Rossoneri may be willing to evaluate offers.
If Schick will be traded out (RB Leipzig, Newcastle, and many other clubs are reportedly interested in the Czech striker), Rafael Leao could be the perfect profile for Paulo Fonseca.
