The Italian defender is really impressed with the social and beneficial actions activated by the club of Trigoria. Roma is a special team for Mancini.

Gianluca Mancini was interview by the Giallorossi through Instagram and spoke about this moment of extreme emergency due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

“My teammates and I are very proud of Roma. This emergency has had a big impact on the world and the club has been helping so much. I’m happy to be part of this club,” Gianluca Mancini said to the Official AS Roma website answering questions via Instagram.

He played against the Giallorossi several times over the years. He also had the opportunity to face Edin Dzeko when playing for Atalanta. Mancini believes the Bosnia international to be a very tough striker to face on a pitch.

When asked if he considers it more difficult to stop Dzeko or his former teammates Papu Gomez, the Italy international said: “They are two different players…Every time I played against Dzeko it seemed like he was having the game of his life. It’s tougher to face Gomez in one-on-one situations instead.”
