The Armenian should be a starter in Atalanta-Roma. The Argentine could be redirected on the other offensive flank. Mkhitaryan and Perotti may play on Saturday.

There are difficult moments that can be solved only by finding certainties and solid reality. Paulo Fonseca could start Mkhitaryan and Perotti at the Gewiss stadium Saturday.

A match that could become the most important of the season. If Atalanta will defeat the Giallorossi, Gasperini’s team would widen the gap to hypothetical 7 points (6 + the direct challenges between the two clubs).

Although Roma’s coach is aware that Atlanta will be a tough obstacle to overcome, he also knows that when his side plays his football it can be very competitive.

“I think Miki [Mkhitaryan] is an important and experienced player capable of making the right choices. He can play as a winger, towards the center as a trequartista and as a striker in a different system. He can even play as a goalkeeper because he is one of the smartest players I’ve ever known,” Paulo Fonseca said at the press conference ahead of Atalanta-Roma.

Words that confirm Mkhitaryan’s important role against the Nerazzurri Saturday. But Perotti may be playing as well. “We need experience at this moment,” Fonseca said talking about the upcoming clash at the Gewiss stadium. The Argentine has been involved in many challenges since his arrival in the Eternal City. He could be the right man on the other flank.

Mkhitaryan and Perotti may support Edin Dzeko against Atalanta. Roma need experience to find the right balance on the pitch. The Giallorossi can put Atalanta in trouble only by keeping the lines very tight and putting pressure on their fullbacks.
