Roma-Torino 0-2: 31 shots on goal are not enough for the Lupi (Stats)

The Giallorossi made a big step backward today at the Stadio Olimpico. Torino surprised Roma and Fonseca talked about the weak performance of his men.

Some thought that this match could be really insidious and they were right. Mazzarri’s men defended their fort with ardor and perseverance taking advantage of the weak defensive performance of the Roma backline.

Paulo Fonseca played his best starting 11 today but something went wrong. The development of Roma’s offensive strategy constantly hit Torino’s wall. Mazzarri covered his backline with a solid midfield line and Belotti made the difference at the Stadio Olimpico.

The Giallorossi shot on goal 31 times but it wasn’t enough to score the opener or the equalizer. Mazzarri developed his counterattacks mostly on Florenzi‘s side but the Italian fullback was not the only one responsible for today’s defeat.
