No big moves on the market and Fonseca confirms Kalinic

The January transfer window shouldn’t bring big changes to the roster. Fonseca believes Kalinic can play an important role from now on.

The future of the Croatian striker should be in the eternal city. Nikola Kalinic seems to be fit and ready to replace Dzeko when needed and the Portuguese coach is willing to give him another chance.

In today’s press conference ahead of Roma-Torino, Paulo Fonseca clearly stated that Kalinic can play an important role from now on: “Kalinic is working well and improving on a weekly basis. I believe he can play more in this part of the season.”

Although the Croatian striker scored only once in 2019, he may be the right player to replace Dzeko at least until the end of the season. “It’s important that Kalinic stays with the team. I believe he can help us,” Fonseca said to the press today ahead of the next important Serie A clash that will take place at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday.

Gianluca Petrachi shouldn’t be making big moves in the January transfer window. But the transfer market is sometimes unpredictable and the Italian executive will be ready to strengthen the team if possible.
