Fonseca praised his men for today’s win against Genoa. Roma’s performance was good albeit the Grifoni put the Lupi in danger in the second half.

All wins are important but some may seem different. Spinazzola and Under played a good match on their respective sides of the pitch and Pau Lopez saved the Giallorossi at the beginning of the second half.

Three vital points for the Lupi today against an insidious team that Nicola is trying to motivate to reach Genoa‘s seasonal goal.

Paulo Fonseca had 10 unavailable players today at the Stadio Marassi but he selected a competitive starting 11. Roma dominated the match albeit the Giallorossi conceded a goal right at the end of the first half.

“We made a good performance. We were almost perfect in the first half. We had offensive quality but we shouldn’t have conceded that goal,” Paulo Fonseca said to Sky after Genoa-Roma.

When asked about the next Serie A clash against Lazio, Fonseca clearly stated “It’s a special match. It’s easy for me, I don’t have much choice. We have these players and we play with them. We have ambition and we want to win. But there’s Juve first.”
