Fonseca spoke about the upcoming Coppa Italia match Parma-Roma. He wants to see his side focused on this match because Parma are strong on the counter.
The Coppa Italia edition 2019-20 will begin tomorrow for the Giallorossi. Roma on the road to Parma to face the insidious local side at the Stadio Tardini.
The coach of the Giallorossi spoke to Roma TV about the upcoming Coppa Italia match Parma-Roma. “The team didn’t win the last two matches albeit we played well. We must look to the future with optimism. We play this competition with great ambition. It’s an important match for us,” Fonseca said to the official channel of the club Roma TV.
The Portuguese coach firmly believes Parma to be a very strong side that can put Roma in danger. “Coppa Italia is a tough competition and we will play against a strong side away from home…I believe they are a strong team on the counter with great offensive players. They are a physical side.”
Fonseca will play Nikola Kalinic tomorrow. With Dzeko and Zaniolo out for different reasons, the Croatian striker is the first option of the Roma coach: “Yes, Kalinic will play even because Zaniolo would have been the other option who had already played in that position against Inter. Even if I had Zaniolo, Kalinic was the first choice and he will play. He trained well and I am confident.”
Parma-Roma will take place tomorrow at 3:15 PM (EST) at the Stadio Tardini.
