Florenzi seems to be willing to leave the Italian capital. Valencia may be his next club but some obstacles must be overcome before the farewell to Roma.

It all seems to be very strange. But sometimes even love stories end abruptly. Reportedly, Alessandro Florenzi may be living the last few days/hours as a Roma player.

According to several Italian outlets, the captain of the Giallorossi and his agent decided that a departure from Rome may be the best solution for his career. The Italy international wants to play and have a key role also to not lose the upcoming EURO 2020. They would have already spoken to Roma’s sporting director about that.

Valencia seem to be very interested in Florenzi, but some obstacles must be overcome before making this deal official. The wage of the fullback may be an issue for the Spanish side. Also, the loan deal with an obligation to buy may not be the best solution for all the parties involved.

Is Florenzi’s possible departure the best solution for Roma as well?

Although the player almost never provided flawless performances as a right-back, the captain of the Giallorossi has always been a very serious player with great team spirit. If he were to leave, Roma would have only Santon and Peres on that defensive flank. Zappacosta will be another option, but the former Chelsea man is still passing through a very long recovery phase.

Roma may regret selling such a dedicated and multitasking player at this time, but Paulo Fonseca and Gianluca Petrachi certainly have assessed the pros and cons of this possible deal.

Alessandro Florenzi’s adventure with his beloved club may end suddenly!
