Petagna may be the right player for Roma in January

The Italian striker is reportedly on Petrachi’s agenda for the next transfer window. Petagna could be a great addition to the roster.

Many talk about his possible arrival in the eternal city. Many others believe he may be the right player to support or replace Dzeko when needed.

Roma seem to be interested in Andrea Petagna and the player would be extremely happy to land in the Italian capital in January.

“Training with such a champion would be a dream” had said Petagna to Sky after the Serie A match Roma-Spal. “But I have to think of Spal now. The club took me in a difficult moment and I want to do well here.”

The Italian striker has been playing well this season even if his team is struggling. The 24-year-old made 16 appearances (15 as a starter) and scored 5 goals (scoring frequency 274 min).

  • Minutes per game: 85;
  • Shots per game: 2.1;
  • Assists: 1;
  • Touches per game: 37.8;
  • Big chances created: 4.

Although Spal would be happy to keep him in their roster, reportedly, Roma are really interested in purchasing him this winter.

Spal’s President Walter Mattioli also spoke about this matter: “I want to keep here whoever wants to stay and I believe Andrea [Petagna] wants to stay.”

Roma are a great opportunity for the Italian striker. Petagna clearly stated: “I’m happy here. If somebody makes an important offer, we will talk about that.”
