The Armenian star returned on the pitch after a long time and scored a goal during the extra-time. Mkhitaryan is an important piece of Fonseca’s marvelous puzzle.

The Giallorossi collected three vital points against an organized side that fought until the end of the game. Roma sit on a Champions League spot waiting for the match that Cagliari will play tomorrow.

Henrick Mkhitaryan provided his contribution today. The Armenia international scored a goal during the extra-time sealing the victory. But the offensive midfielder believes the Lupi could have played better, though.

“I feel good. I missed the team and playing…It was important to win today and we took the three points. We didn’t play well, but the most important thing was to win,” Mkhitaryan said to Roma TV right after Hellas Verona-Roma 1-3.

The Armenian star is ready to make the difference from now: “I will do my best to score more goals and more assists.” He is an ambitious player and pushes his side to improve: “I think we have a margin to improve because the players and the coach are new.”

There are still several matches to play before the end of the league and Mkhitaryan wants to win as many games as possible: “We have to do everything possible to win every match following the coach’s directives.”
