After their disappointing Europa League performance, Roma need to collect three points against Spal. Fonseca spoke to the press ahead of the Serie A match.
There’s much more to do to qualify for the next edition of the Champions League and Roma must win games like the upcoming one against a Spal. The Giallorossi will face Leonardo Semplici‘s men at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday.
When asked if the match against Spal will be easy for the Lupi, the Portuguese coach clearly replied: “I don’t think so. Spal are a good team with a good defensive organization. It’s going to be a tough match and the players know it.”
Paulo Fonseca wants his men to play with the right attitude. As he stated: “We didn’t do well only in two games, on Thursday and the one against Sampdoria. Tomorrow is another match and I hope the team will play with the right attitude.”
Pellegrini will be confirmed as a trequartista and Veretout in midfield. Kluivert, instead, is still not fit: “Kluivert has been training these days, but I don’t think he’s okay. We don’t want to take any risks,” said Paulo Fonseca in today’s press conference ahead of Roma-Spal.
