UCL Dream: Roma and Lazio focused on the European goal

AS Roma Fans

The clubs of the Italian capital have been doing great so far. Roma and Lazio improved last year’s performances.

If you want to reach the Champions League you have to begin the season on the right path. Although the Giallorossi have suffered many injuries since the start of the season, Fonseca and his group should be praised for the 25 points collected so far.

In the current Serie A campaign, Roma collected 6 points more than last season in the first 13 games. A very good result if we take into consideration that Fonseca had about 7 injured players each game.

Even Roma’s city rivals Lazio have been performing quite well this season. The Biancoazzurri are 2 points ahead of the Giallorossi in the Serie A standings. Simone Inzaghi’s side has won the last 5 consecutive games.

It is simply astonishing what Cagliari are doing. In the first 13 Serie A games, the club of the beautiful Italian island picked up 10 points more than last season (15 to 25). Great summer purchases and an inspired Radja Nainggolan are definitely making the difference.

Roma and Lazio are focused on the European goal. Both sides want to get back to the Champions League. With Napoli and Atalanta struggling, Fonseca and Inzaghi have good chances to reach that objective.
