The Italian midfielder is fit and ready to give his contribution to Fonseca’s group. He may play against Brescia.
Before his long injury, he was a key player in Paulo Fonseca’s tactical system. The Portuguese coach played him as a trequartista and he made marvelous performances. But the current situation is different, though.
During the past month we witnessed the exponential growth of a talented and experienced player who made the difference playing behind Dzeko. Javier Pastore is a dazzling light and as Walter Sabatini stated yesterday: “The man of dreams.”
Talking to the Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport, Pellegrini said: “Roma are a great team. What the guys did is unbelievable. It’s not easy to play several consecutive matches always with the same players. I see a team with more confidence.”
The qualification for the Champions League is Roma’s main goal of the season. Lorenzo Pellegrini confirmed that the Giallorossi really want to play that exciting international competition again.
“Of course we want to get there [in the Champions League] and we will do our best to make it happen. It’s our primary goal,” Pellegrini stated to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
