The Portuguese coach held a press conference ahead of Basaksehir-Roma and also spoke about the two Turkish players.
There’s a player that has already demonstrated his great value at Roma and another that has great temperament. Under and Cetin can do well in the Italian capital as confirmed by Paulo Fonseca in today’s press conference.
“They are two players with a great future and they are young. They still have to work to improve but we really believe in these players,” Fonseca said today ahead of the Europa League clash Basaksehir-Roma that will take place tomorrow.
Under and Cetin return to their beloved homeland to face a team that has been undefeated in the last 11 games. When Paulo Fonseca was asked about what these two players need to do to improve, the Portuguese said: “There are always things to improve, they are young. Cetin has arrived now, Under has settled into Italian football. They must improve a lot, but they are young and it is like that. They are two players with a great future.”
Cengiz Under could operate on the offensive right side tomorrow albeit Nicolò Zaniolo should definitely play because he will not be available for the next Serie A game against Verona.
Meret Cetin, instead, will start from the bench. Fonseca should play the duo Mancini-Smalling with the Turk ready to help if necessary.
