After yesterday’s defeat in Germany, the Giallorossi need to collect at least four points to qualify. Fonseca wants two wins though.
There’s nothing better than winning games. This is Fonseca’s approach to football. His ambition is endless and it can bring immense benefits to Roma.
Although the Giallorossi are now already thinking about the next Serie A away match against Parma, the Portuguese coach will never be ready to compromise. In order to qualify for the next stage of the Europa League, he wants his players to collect two wins.
When asked if four points would be enough to get access to the knockout stage, Paulo Fonseca clearly stated: “We have to win our last two games. There’s nothing else to think about. Four points are not enough.”
Fonseca firmly believes his team has the necessary quality to go ahead playing on the international stage: “We have to think about winning [the next two Europa League match] and we are capable of doing that.”
This is the right approach to build a strong and ambitious side.
