The Portuguese coach reshapes his side for tomorrow’s Europa League match against Wolfsberger. Fonseca replaces Dzeko with Kalinic.
Roma is back on the international stage. The Giallorossi on the road to face Struber‘s side in the UEL round 2. Wolfsberger will be a tough opponent for the Lupi but Paulo Fonseca seems to be ready to change his starting 11 anyway.
Aleksandar Kolarov should be out as well as Edin Dzeko. Both players are really important leaders on the pitch but they need rest too.
When asked about the possibility to see Kalinic playing tomorrow, Paulo Fonseca stated: “I’ve already said that Kolarov and Dzeko need to rest. It’s, therefore, clear that Kalinic will start the match tomorrow. Under a physical standpoint, he is getting better.”
Roma‘s coach also spoke about Zappacosta and his recovery phase. “He has been training with us in the past two-three days. He is improving but he still can’t play a whole game,” said Fonseca to the press in today’s press conference ahead of the next Europa League match Wolfsberger-Roma.
