Fonseca Pushes Roma to Fight Against Unexpected Difficulties

Roma’s coach said to be surprised about the current injury situation but he doesn’t want his team to give up.

In today’s press conference ahead of the next Europa League clash against Borussia, Paulo Fonseca was asked about the many injuries that are affecting his players.

“This is a new situation for me as well. It had never happened to me. Last year at Shakhtar we had only four injuries. I want to believe that this is a matter of bad luck,” said Paulo Fonseca.

But the Portuguese coach is not ready to give up. His side must react to adversity: “We have to fight against these difficulties and we are ready to do that. I want my players to understand that it is necessary to run, fight, and sacrifice even more.”
