The Portuguese coach is very happy with his men after the convincing and deserved win against AC Milan. A special mention goes to Pastore.
Roma defeated AC Milan in the Italian capital on Sunday. The Giallorossi played a very good match even if the players were really tired after the Europan clash against Borussia M’gladbach.
Roma’s fans have been really pleased with the performance of Javier Pastore. The Argentine played as a trequartista behind Edin Dzeko, but the former PSG men also helped his teammates in the interception phase.
Paulo Fonseca is really happy with the performance of his men, a group heavily affected by injuries since the beginning of the season. “The players did very well fighting a lot. At this moment, it’s not easy to play three matches in a week. But they deserved the win,” said Roma’s head coach to Sky Sport.
The Portuguese coach also praised Pastore for his good performance today. “We cannot forget that we play three matches in a week and it is not easy for him. He showed all his quality and professionalism.”
Roma-AC Milan ended 2-1 at the Stadio Olimpico today. The Giallorossi are still chasing a Champions League spot and Napoli is not far ahead.
