Injuries are Roma’s Biggest Issue

Stadio Olimpico (Rome)

The Giallorossi passed through a terrible period last year. Petrachi is trying to change something to avoid further problems.

This is going to be a tough season for Roma. The Lupi have changed a lot during the last transfer window and Fonseca needs time to inject his football credo into the minds of his players.

But injuries are always around the corner in Trigoria. The 2019-20 campaign just begun and three important players (Leonardo Spinazzola, Davide Zappacosta, and Cengiz Under) have already missed matches due to physical issues.

Gianluca Petrachi faced this aspect during Mkhitaryan‘s press conference yesterday. “We are changing the turf in Trigoria because sometimes the guys complained about the hardness of the pitches,” said the Italian sporting director.

The club is, therefore, taking action on this matter. Hopefully, things will get better from now on. Fonseca needs all his players to reach the qualification to the next Champions League.
