Fonseca: We Played Well and Dominated the Match

The Portuguese coach is very happy with his men. Roma collected three deserved points at Stadio Dall’Ara against a tough opponent.

Roma wins its first official away match of the season. The Giallorossi have shown character and a desire to win even playing 10 vs 11. The coach of the Lupi is happy with today’s late win because his group had also played their first Europa League match on Thursday.

“We deserved the win because we played well and dominated the match,” said Fonseca to Sky Sport after Bologna-Roma. “It was difficult for the players today but they are in good shape.”

Paulo Fonseca also praised Edin Dzeko for his quality and leadership skills: “Dzeko is a crucial player for our team. He is a true leader and a great player. He is very important. I trust him a lot.”

The Bosnia international dragged his teammates to the win today. Dzeko firmly believes in this new Roma project.
