Roma-Higuain, It’s a Matter of Priority

The Gillorossi are awaiting the developments of the negotiations between Juventus and Manchester United to know something more about Higuain’s future.

The transfer market is made up of moments and opportunities that become possible or disappear within days or hours. This seems to be happening in the negotiation between Roma and Juventus for Gonzalo Higuain. Reportedly, the Argentine striker would like to stay in Turin, but the possibility to join Roma may be the best at this time in his career.

If Juventus will finalize the Dybala-Lukaku deal, Higuain could spend the next campaign sitting on the bench often. The Belgian star would be the undisputed centralizer of Sarri‘s offensive plays with Cristiano Ronaldo redirected on the left fank.

It is, therefore, necessary to see which are the real priorities of the strong Argentine player. In the 2018-19 campaign, Higuain played 40 matches for a total of 3,174 minutes. He had started the season with Ac Milan (22 caps-8 goals-3 assists) to then move to Chelsea in January (18 caps-5 goals).

The player is fit and he would be able to lead the Giallorossi’s Champions League hunt. Paulo Fonseca‘s tactical approach could be crucial for him to score many goals. But Petrachi needs to know something more about his future and his real intentions as soon as possible. The Italian sporting director doesn’t want players unwilling to be 100% committed to the team. The saga Roma-Higuain could end earlier than expected.
