Fonseca: I Want to See if the Team has the Courage to Attack

The Giallorossi face Real Madrid in today’s friendly match at Stadio Olimpico and Fonseca is hoping to see improvements from his men. No fear in front of the champions.

Courage is important in life and ambition makes people do extraordinary things. Paulo Fonseca wants to see his team playing with confidence in front of the Spanish powerhouse. Roma hosts Real Madrid today at Stadio Olimpico in a friendly match that can tell us much more about the team Petrachi is trying to reshape.

“This test is important to really understand what our capabilities are. We are at the beginning of a great transformation process, especially with regards to the game system. The most important thing to me is to see if the team has the courage to attack against Real Madrid,” had said Fonseca to Sky Sport Italia.

“Right now I’m not worried about defensive deficiencies. I am particularly interested in developing an offensive plan.”

The Portuguese coach clearly stated he wants another centre-back. He had reiterated it twice more talking to the press but Gianluca Petrachi is still monitoring the market to find the right man for the Giallorossi: “We are working to find a central defender, at the moment we have three [CB] in the roster. We need it [CB] and we are trying to get it [CB] as soon as possible.”
