Roma’s vice-president Mauro Baldissoni is confident about the quality of Fonseca but he preaches calm because the coach needs time to inject his credo in his players.
Mauro Baldissoni attended the UEFA Europa League group stage draw on Friday in Monte Carlo and also spoke about Paulo Fonseca and his coaching skills:
“Everyone who works close to him said he has made a great impression,” said Roma‘s vice-president. “We need to give him time because it is impossible to introduce new ideas in just a few weeks.”
Even Chris Smalling said great things about the former Shakhtar Donetsk‘s coach. The 29-year-old defender had a short chat with the Portuguese and decided to accept Roma’s offer.
“He has a sophisticated view of both the game and other things. These are all things players appreciate,” added Baldissoni.
