Alderweireld Now to Bring Dzeko Back to Roma

Roma is still chasing the strong Belgian defender but the deal must be closed not later than August 8th. Alderweireld could convince Dzeko to stay.

It’s always a matter of perception. Football is a mix of great technical and tactical gestures, and enormous financial interests. But the ambitions of the players are extremely important too.

Everyone believes Dzeko is about to leave to join another Italian powerhouse, Inter. Antonio Conte is reportedly waiting for him and the Bosnia international would be happy in Milan as well. But the current developments of a crazy transfer market session could change the cards on the table.

Dzeko is still in the Italian capital and Inter, instead, is still chasing strikers willing to join Conte’s project. Toby Alderweireld’s acquisition could change what I think is a factor of extreme relevance, perception!

As reported a few days ago by the Italian outlet Il Messaggero, Alderweireld would earn €3.5 million per season for the next three years in the eternal city. But Tottenham is, instead, unwilling to reduce his price-tag.

This seems to be the right time to launch the final attack. If Petrachi will be able to sign the Belgium international, he could also convince Dzeko to stay in the Italian capital. The Bosnian star wants to play in a very competitive team and with the acquisition of Mancini, Lopez, Veretout, Diawara, Spinazzola, and Alderweireld, he may have a different perception of things.

5 more days to finalize this important deal. If Roma will pen a contract with Toby Alderweiredl keeping Dzeko as well, it could redirect its financial efforts somewhere else. A strong right-back and a great winger may even change the fans’ perception of the team.
