The new sporting director of the Giallorossi revealed his interest for the Argentine star. Petrachi keeps Higuain on his agenda because Roma could be the perfect club for him.
In today’s press conference, Gianluca Petrachi was asked about the possible negotiation between Juventus and Roma for the striker. The sporting director of the Giallorossi firmly believes the player could benefit from an experience in the Italian capital.
“If Dzeko leaves, Higuain could be useful. He is a player who may have lost self-esteem. Motivations are very important though. If something were to happen with Juve, Higuain should be the first to believe in it. I’m trying to bring in players with this desire. I don’t think Higuain can find a better solution than Roma to find the real Higuain,” said Petrachi to the press. “He could follow in the footsteps of his compatriot, Batistuta. Batistuta left an indelible mark at Roma.”
The sporting director of the Lupi also spoke about Edin Dzeko and his current situation with the club. “Now Dzeko is still a Roma player and I hope he understands that something is changing.”
