Roma: Reconstruction Procedures Initiated

Roma is reportedly ready to welcome Mancini and Veretout in the Italian capital. The Giallorossi are in agreement with Atalanta and Fiorentina.

In less than 24 hours Gianluca Mancini should join Fonseca’s group. His medical examinations have been scheduled for tomorrow morning in the eternal city. The Italian defender is not only a great prospect but an excellent reality. The Portuguese coach will play him as a centre-back.

Roma decided to finalize this deal after monitoring several players. The Giallorossi will reportedly sign him on loan with an obligation to buy. The overall fee can go up to €26 million (2 + 19 + 5).

Gianluca Mancini is a great pick for Roma albeit the Lupi need to sign another centre-back as well. Yesterday, Gianluca Petrachi had said, “if we play with four defenders, we need four or five centre-backs.” Only Fazio and Jesus are available for that role. The Italian sporting director had unveiled that Fonseca is also trying to play Kolarov there, “but it is not his natural position.”

Roma Needs to Sign Two Centre-Backs for Fonseca

The new sporting director of the Giallorossi is going ahead with his plan. Gianluca Petrachi is carefully selecting the right pieces to strengthen the roster properly. Several Italian outlets are confirming the positive ending of Veretout’s deal as well. According to the famous transfer market expert, Gianluca Di Marzio, Roma and Fiorentina are almost in agreement.

As reported on, after a three-hour meeting, the club of Trigoria has reached an agreement with the French midfielder and his agent Mario Giuffredi. The deal seems to be practically done! Fiorentina should bank €17 million + €2m in bonuses. Jordan Veretout, instead, should be ready to sign a 5-year contract. €2.5m per season will go to the talented midfielder. This deal should be finalized by the end of the day.

Roma’s reconstruction procedures have begun!
