The Importance of Young Talents for Roma

The Giallorossi are ready to restart after a disappointing season. Roma should finalize a deal with Fonseca in the next 48 hours and go ahead with a project based on young talents with a bright future.

If everything goes as planned, Roma should formalize the agreement with the Portuguese coach in the next few hours. Reportedly, Jim Pallotta and his collaborators are in London to plan the future of the club. The financial aspects will always be extremely relevant, but the meeting with Paulo Fonseca should outline the guidelines for the current transfer market window.

Roma seems to be ready to change a lot this summer. The disappointments of the past season must be set aside to shape a new group that will be suitable to follow the new coach’s tactical guidelines. But the club of Trigoria firmly believes that young talents can lead to future successes.

As Roma President Jim Pallotta had stated in February, “Roma should be an attractive place for young players. This is what we decided about three years ago. We have some tremendous young talent that is going to be coming up.”

An interesting but long-term project. The American investor knows that giving confidence to players without experience may not bring immediate benefits. Young players need to grow and improve but their talent could blossom over the course of a few seasons. “I think our effort is really going to pay off in the next two/three years,” had said Pallotta to the American Sirius XM FC

If the acquisition of Fonseca were made official, the choice would be ambitious and risky at the same time. Roma fans were delighted by the possibility of welcoming Conte in the Italian capital. Although the Portuguese coach would not have the same compelling effect as his Italian colleague, Fonseca is a good choice, a skilled and experienced coach who did marvelous things at Shakhtar Donetsk on the domestic and international stage.

Young talents in the hands of an ambitious coach with interesting tactical ideas. Roma is ready to start again to forget the disappointing performance of last season!
