The Club Goes Ahead: No intention of Putting AS Roma Up for Sale

After Totti’s press conference today, the club of Trigoria released an official statement also to clarify that AS Roma is not up for sale.

The words of the legendary number 10 could not be ignored by his former employer. Right after Totti‘s press conference, AS Roma released an official statement to explain its point of view on this matter. Supposedly, Jim Pallotta will not have been happy to see the undisputed icon of Italian football and of the eternal city talk to the press revealing his truths.

According to AS Roma, Francesco Totti had been offered one of the most senior positions. “The club was even prepared to be patient with him to help him achieve the transition from being a great player into a great manager,” as reported on the official statement. But Totti, instead, decided to leave the Giallorossi because he was disappointed with his role.

As reported by the official AS Roma website, the club is not up for sale: “The club’s investor group have absolutely no intention of putting AS Roma up for sale, now or in the future.”

AS Roma also replied to Totti’s words clearly stating: “we believe that his perception of the facts and decisions made at the club are both fanciful and far from reality.”
