Official: Fonseca Appointed New Roma Head Coach

The Portuguese coach will lead the glorious club of the Italian capital for two years with an option for the third.




The saga of the new Roma coach is now over. With a statement released by the club through its official website, Roma made official the appointment of Paulo Fonseca as a new head coach.

President Jim Pallotta welcomed the Portuguese former Shakhtar Donetsk. “Paulo is a young and ambitious coach with international experience. We are delighted to welcome him to the club.”




Reportedly, Fonseca is excited about the challenge of working with the Roma players. “I’m very pleased to be appointed the head coach of Roma,” stated the Portuguese.

Fonseca is “excited and motivated by the task ahead of us. I cannot wait to move to Rome and meet our fans. Together, I believe we can create something special.”
