The Bosnian star could join the Nerazzurri in the next few days. After a long negotiation, Roma and Inter may have found the right solution to make this deal happen.
It has long been known that Edin Dzeko will likely leave the Italian capital this summer and another step ahead towards that solution was made today. Reportedly, the Bosnia international could join the Nerazzurri before June 30th.
According to the Italian branch of Sky Sport, Roma and Inter may have found a possible agreement to complete this move. Conte‘s side should pay €10 million plus a player of the youth team for Dzeko. Edoardo Vergani could be joining the Lupi in the eternal city. The 18-year-old from Segrate (Milan) has, reportedly, unlocked this deal.
Can a Youth Team Talent Unlock Dzeko’s Move to Inter?
Apparently, Yes! Roma is looking forward to lowering its operating costs and Dzeko is a relevant weight on club accounts. As we had reported the last March, it’s time to say goodbye to Dzeko.
The 33-year-old from Sarajevo, joined Roma on July 1, 2016, when the former director of football of the Giallorossi, Walter Sabatini, had put in place an amazing deal. The Italian club had paid just $12 million for one of the best football strikers in the world.
But his departure leaves the Roma fans skeptical about the future. How can Roma fill that gap up front? Will the Lupi be able to find a top player without stretching their budget?
It is difficult to say what will happen. Certainly, a player of the youth team cannot make the fans of the Giallorossi happy. But the feeling is that the club wants to surprise everyone with the acquisition of a top striker to replace Edin Dzeko. This is what everyone is hoping for. To be competitive, experienced players are needed. Roma cannot make mistakes up front. Petrachi has an extremely difficult task to solve. The new sporting director of the Giallorossi must bring back confidence and positivity to the disappointed Roma fans.
