The Ambition to Say that Winning is the Only Thing that Matters

Enough with superstition and fear of thinking big. Next season, Roma must compete with the declared ambition of winning.

There’s no more time to hide behind conservative words. An approach that over the last 50 years has led to only two Serie A titles cannot be taken as a reference model.

Ambition is necessary in life. It creates competition and stimuli that push the human being to improve on a personal and professional level. Football is not exempt from this concept.

Superstition creates alibis that make us live in a prison of feelings and frustration. Roma need to make that leap in quality from now on. With the Champions League qualification that is now gone, the giallorossi must plan the new campaign with wisdom but above all with a totally different approach.

The Juventus model, which many consider unattainable and unrepeatable in the national border, is based on a simple concept…Winning is the only thing that matters!

In this case, economic differences should not be taken into consideration. Although the financial impact is extremely relevant in today’s football, we must focus strictly on words and ambitious way of thinking that makes players responsible.

We must be ambitious without being afraid of expressing it to the whole world. The strong are arrogant and feared. The strong are strong because they believe in their chances of victory.
