Roma Eyes on Zapata and Belotti to Replace Dzeko

The Giallorossi could implement a technical overhaul next summer. Several players could leave the club and many others will land in the eternal city. Zapata and Belotti are on the Roma agenda.

After a very disappointing campaign, President Pallotta could go ahead with the club restructuring process. The American investor does not seem to have digested the disastrous performances of his men and, reportedly, he would be determined to change many pieces of a puzzle that was not extremely attractive.

If the rumors are confirmed, Inter would be ready to purchase Edin Dzeko and Roma could replace the Bosnian striker with Duvan Zapata or Andrea Belotti.

The Atalanta man played a stunning season. Zapata made 47 caps and scored 27 goals and 8 assists. The Colombian could even find Giampiero Gasperini in Rome. If the Italian coach will sign a contract with the Giallorossi soon, Roma could make an offer for the 28-year-old from Santiago de Calì.

Andrea Belotti still has a long contract with Torino (2022). The Italian striker from Calcinate made 38 caps this campaign and scored 17 goals and 3 assists. His price-tag is not as high as it was a couple of years ago when President Cairo was approximately asking for €100 million to let him go. The player remained in Turin but this summer may be the right time for him to start a new exciting Italian adventure.

Everything can change abruptly in the transfer market, but Roma could be ready to change their striker and Dzeko’s spell in the eternal city could be over.
