The Italian coach is disappointed for today’s result at stadio Marassi but his team needs to react albeit the qualification for the Champions League is almost missed. Ranieri spreads positive words after Genoa-Roma.
Roma needed three points to chase Inter and Atalanta but Genoa‘s defender Romero practically annihilated Roma’s Champions League hopes. The giallorossi played a sloppy match at stadio Marassi even due to the good performance of Prandelli‘s men who are fighting to avoid a painful relegation to Serie B.
In the post-match interviews, Claudio Ranieri pushed his guys to not give up. “We have to fight, the goal is far but before it was even farther. We must not have regrets. We don’t know what will happen in three games, we have to do our best.”
The Italian coach knows that the Lupi need a miracle to catch the last train towards the most prestigious European competition for clubs but he spread positive words for his men. “We must believe that nothing is lost. We knew we would find a fortress to outflank. We had to move the ball faster and go quickly on the wings. We had to do more,” said Ranieri to Sky Italia.
