The Italian coach wants to go ahead coaching and in the post-Roma-Juventus interviews unveiled an unexpected scenario.
Claudio Ranieri is leading his beloved club towards a European spot. Although it may not be the Champions League, Roma have improved since his arrival.
Several coaches have been linked to the giallorossi albeit Ranieri could represent their best choice at this time. In the post-match interviews, the Italian coach clarified that “when I was contacted I was offered the ‘after’ and I said no because I still enjoy being a coach. So at the end of the season, everything else ends.”
Ranieri‘s future is on a bench because “my goal is to be a coach, to be alive, to decide with my head, to take criticism and insults. I am like that, I want to go my own way,” said the Roma coach to Sky Italia
When asked about how the club should strengthen the group he clearly stated: “Since I’m in, I know what should be done but this doesn’t mean anything. The club knows better than me what to do and they [the executives] will be waiting to know where we will be at the end of the championship.”
