The Greek defender spoke to the AS Roma match program about the Champions League race and the tough Serie A match Genoa-Roma.
Roma on the road to stadio Marassi to face Prandelli’s men. The giallorossi need three points on Sunday and Kostas Manolas hopes to reach the qualification to the next edition of the Champions League.
The Greek defender spoke to the AS Roma match program.
“We could have been already qualified at this time,” said Manolas. The defender cannot believe his side lost the match against SPAL, conceded two goals to Chievo at stadio Olimpico, and drew 2-2 to Cagliari in 9 vs 11.
“We are more compact now. The team doesn’t put pressure forward and this approach brought us to better results. It’s going to be a tough match against Genoa.”
Manolas want the Champions League albeit Atalanta is still ahead of Roma at this time. “If they collect all points we cannot do anything. We have to do our part hoping that they lose points.”
