Roma coach Ranieri admits that the technical quality of his men could be more important than playing attractive football. The giallorossi face Fiorentina at the stadio Olimpico tomorrow.
When Claudio Ranieri was called to lead a devasted group in the eternal city, the Italian coach happily accepted the offer. His beloved Roma are in trouble and an authentic fan must give his best to change the direction of a terrifying campaign.
But nobody was expecting to watch great football after Eusebio Di Francesco‘s spell in the Italian capital. Fans were aware that Ranieri could bring more solidity in a group with ample personality gaps and many talented young players.
Although the beginning of his adventure in Rome has not been positive, the Italian coach hopes in the quality of his players to revive the fortunes of this team.
“This is my belief, but then you have to think about who is physically fit, whoever played a match with the possibility to play again after two days because then after a couple of days we have to play once more,” said Ranieri in today’s press conference ahead of Roma-Fiorentina.
“I have to think of everything…who is good in the one v one, who can play only for 30 or 45 minutes, and who has played a lot and needs to rest. All these things will lead me to choose tomorrow’s formation,” continued Ranieri.
