The giallorossi suffer a burning defeat against Lazio in the Derby della Capitale confirming a peculiarity that disturbs their passionate fans.

“Insert coin!” is written on videogame machines. If you want to live another multimedia experience you’ll just have to enter a few more cents into the console. Unfortunately, though, the game can go well or badly and you can be satisfied or disappointed.

This is what the Roma fans have experienced for a while. Although the club has been improving under various standpoints, there’s something else that goes wrong, really bad! I’m talking about their peculiarity in centering epic defeats. I’m focusing on their art of losing badly!

All the fans still remember the seven goals of Manchester United at the Old Trafford. A night of ghosts in which the Ghostbusters would be needed to catch them. When Pep Guardiola landed in Rome with his Bayern Munich, the giallorossi have mastered their ability to amaze everyone…another burning defeat that made the Roman people suffer.

The Champions League is not the only stage on which the Lupi have become lambs sometimes. Over the years, Roma have refined their performance in Coppa Italia as well. Fiorentina have cannibalized the Lupi a couple of times, once at the stadio Olimpico when Salah was still in the eternal city and the second one this season, with a peremptory and shocking 7-1 at the stadio Artemio Franchi on January 30, 2019.

All roads lead to Rome and the giallorossi have delighted their fans with a sometimes hilarious performance in the Derby della Capitale (3-0). Lazio have inflicted a harsh sentence on Di Francesco‘s future and on the summer transfer business of a sports director who made a lot of mistakes. If the coach is guilty, even Monchi must be questioned. Although the Spaniard brought to Rome a few top talents, Javier Pastore and the defensive gaps not filled last January could cause irreparable damage to the giallorossi. Without the qualification to the Champions League edition 2019-2020, Pallotta‘s ambitious project could suffer a sharp slowdown.
