Roma Can’t Do What Ranieri Wants

There is no need to foresee the future to understand that his team has serious tactical and physical problems. Ranieri is forced to find a different solution to solve an intricate situation at Roma.

The problem should be solved at the root by resetting everything and starting on a new path. Di Francesco left the helm of a boat in dangerous and stormy waters but Ranieri cannot do miracles if the summer project was totally wrong.

The team does not have the physical and perhaps mental strength to stand up again. Today’s away match at the stadio Paolo Mazza has confirmed that the giallorossi are not in a position to change a highly negative seasonal trend.

“I am disappointed. I expected a battle if we had played at their level with our qualities. We should have won if we had played as they did but we didn’t do so,” said Ranieri to Roma TV. “When you have several injuries you have to go slow during the training. I see a team that cannot do what I want and I’m trying to help it in another way.”

Roma face a tough reality and his coach has clearly unveiled it to the press right after today’s match against Spal. Revenue is important for the Lupi and without the Champions League, the club of Trigoria could be experiencing issues.
