Roma, 96 Hours for Di Francesco

Eusebio Di Francesco - AS Roma

The Italian coach could be discharged if the Champions League match against Porto doesn’t go as Jim Pallotta expects. Di Francesco’s group has failed too many times this season.

This is the direct consequence of a terrible defeat in the Derby della Capitale. Reportedly, right after the 3-0 against Lazio, the Roma executives had a serious meeting to analyze the overall situation. As stated by Gianluca Lengua, a journalist from the Il Messaggero, Monchi, Totti, Fienga, Baldissoni, Balzaretti, and Massara spoke about the future of Eusebio Di Francesco. President Pallotta from the United States may have been involved in this meeting as well.

Reportedly, their faces at the end of the meeting were tense. Eusebio Di Francesco could be at the end of his professional adventure in the Italian capital. Roma‘s next big match could decide his future. The Champions League second-leg against Porto will be Di Francesco’s last chance to continue his work in the eternal city.

La Gazzetta dello Sport also reported the Lupi could be working non-stop to prepare for this UCL clash, a retreat that could be imposed by the Roma executives. Di Francesco’s future could be decided in the next 96 hours.
