Ranieri: No Regrets For Roma Choice

The Italian coach held a press conference today ahead of the Serie A big match Roma- Napoli. Ranieri hopes for a real reaction from his men.

This is the moment for a prompt reaction. If Roma still want to qualify for the Champions League, Sunday’s clash against Ancelotti‘s side is vital. The giallorossi need three points to reduce the gap with those teams currently ahead of them.

But the next Serie A match is not easy though. Several Roma players are still injury and only a few of them will be available after a long time.

De Rossi and Kolarov? They are two important players. I would be really happy if I would have the possibility to have them on the field. But I have to assess everything. I do not want to risk a player,” said Ranieri to the press.

I prefer not to play a player for a match rather than losing him for three or four games. This has always been my approach as a coach.

But we have the potential to fight to get to the Champions League. I hope for my players to react properly to face adversities.”

Ranieri is happy to lead Roma again. This is his beloved side and he wants the best for the giallorossi.

Regrets? Never. I’ve been following Roma and I knew what was going on here and that this was an exceptional event. But I hope my work will bring the desired results,” continued Claudio Ranieri.
