The former coach of the Lupi could start a new professional adventure next summer. Di Francesco could sign a multi-year contract with Fiorentina.
The giallorossi had sacked Eusebio Di Francesco just a few weeks ago after a long period of disappointing performances of his group. But the contract with the Italian coach was set to expire in 2020. Therefore, EDF is still on Roma’s financial books for more than 12 months.
Rumors from Italy could drastically reduce this period though. According to the Italian portal TuttoMercatoWeb.com, Di Francesco would be ready to start a new adventure in Tuscany soon. The coach could sign a 3-year contract with Fiorentina, the club owned by the Della Valle family.
If these rumors will be confirmed, Di Francesco would break the bond with the club of Trigoria before the natural expiration of his contract.
The giallorossi could, therefore, have even more economic resources eventually to launch a final attack to Antonio Conte. As reported yesterday, the former Juventus and Chelsea coach has been reportedly contacted by the Lupi to check his availability to be the undisputed leader of Roma next season.
Will Di Francesco accept the Fiorentina job? Will Roma go all-in on Conte? These questions could be answered soon.
