The Italian midfielder spoke about his career and future at Roma. Pellegrini wants to impress in the Champions League.
There are moments in which top players must drag their teammates to the victory. Lorenzo Pellegrini seems to be ready to make the difference right now.
Roma will face Porto tomorrow and the Italian midfielder is confident in a positive match albeit the Portuguese powerhouse is a very tough side.
“Believe me, Porto are a tough team. They are not a top side but this is going to be a difficult match,” said Pellegrini to the famous Roman radio station Teleradiostereo. “We know what kind of emotion the city would experience if we pass this round. This would change the outcome of a season, even if we have been experiencing many difficulties.”
“Tuesday’s match will be a battle to fight all together. It’s very important for us to get to the stadium and see our fans.”
“We have to improve, though. This team [Roma] is made of young players who have to gain experience. There are no doubts about our qualities. We know that we have been built to reach the top,” stated Lorenzo Pellegrini.
The 22-year-old also praised De Rossi for his dedication and importance for the group. “Everyone knows how important he is to us. He could even just sit on the field and he would be important anyway.”
