The father of the talented Dutch winger firmly believes his son should have stayed in the Netherland for a few more years. Patrick Kluivert knows the quality of his son but he wants to see him playing more in the future.
Justin Kluivert is a real talent but Italian football is tactically very challenging. The former Ajax man is passing through a tough period in the eternal city and albeit Roma firmly trust him, the player needs to make a decisive leap in quality as soon as possible.
Di Francesco played him many times so far but his performances have been fluctuating. Kluivert needs time to demonstrate the technical skills that mother nature has granted him. Hi father Patrick, the former star of Milan and Barcelona, firmly believes his son made a mistake when he decided to move close to the Colosseum.
“I don’t think he made the right choice leaving the Netherlands last year. I always said that he should have stayed another year or two at Ajax. But as a father, you must follow and respect the decisions of your child,” said Patrick Kluivert to Sport360.
“Anyway, he made a good choice because he is happy at Roma. Of course, he would like to play more but he cannot pretend much because he is 19. He is very dedicated when he plays and he likes his role. This is good. I’m curious to see what’s going to happen next season and if he will have more chances to play,” concluded Patrick Kluivert.
