The Frenchman moved to the Italian capital right after the World Cup in Russia. Although he was able to lift the most prestigious trophy in football, NZonzi wants to do well at Roma as well.

Monchi signed him at the end of the past summer transfer window and the midfielder needed a period to settle in. Nowadays, the giallorossi can take advantage of his great experience and tactical wisdom. Steven Nzonzi is a perfect filter between the offensive and defensive lines. He lowers the pace of the game when needed managing the ball with supreme elegance.

In a recent interview with a program broadcasted by Canal+, the world-champion expressed his enthusiasm for his new adventure in the eternal city. “I’m very happy [at Roma]. I needed a new challenge after three years in Sevilla. It’s never easy [to change] but I needed something else to go ahead [professionally speaking],” said NZonzi.

Steven Nzonzi was also asked about a possible future in the French league. The midfielder would be happy to try an experience in his homeland as well.

“Why not? It would be nice to play in my country. It could happen, one day.”
