The coach of the rossoneri knows that Roma have important players able to react even after terrible defeats. Gattuso believes his team has improved but the clash at the stadio Olimpico will be tough.
Roma host Milan in the eternal city on Sunday at 2:30 PM (EST). The giallorossi have collected a gigantic defeat against Fiorentina in Coppa Italia while the rossoneri played a great match eliminating Napoli from the Italian competition.
Milan coach Gennaro Gattuso spoke to the press ahead of Roma-Milan, a match valid for the qualification to the next edition of the Champions League. His team is ahead of the Lupi at this time and with a favorable mental and physical condition. But football is weird sometimes. Things can change on a weekly basis.
“We have to go ahead on our positive path with enthusiasm. We are going to face a team that is experiencing a difficult moment. But they have great players,” said Gattuso as reported by PianetaMilan.it. “It’s going to be a tough match. I want to see the same desire to do well that my men had these weeks.”
“Roma have always performed well in difficult times. They won three consecutive matches at home. They have great players and a good coach,” continued Milan’s Gennaro Gattuso. “This is an important match. But all the matches are important. We have to be ready to face incredible players.”
Gattuso also spoke about the Roma jewel Nicolò Zaniolo. “I have great admiration for him. I’ve been following him since last year when I was the coach of the youth team. He has great quality.”
