Is Monchi on His Way to Arsenal?

The sporting director of the giallorossi is reportedly ready to join the Gunners at the end of the season. Roma look for an internal solution to replace Monchi.

The Lupi could say adiós to Monchi right at the end of the 2018-19 campaign. According to the Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Spaniard would be ready to accept the Arsenal job. His next professional adventure should, therefore, be in the most challenging football league in the world, the Premier League.

As stated by Marca and the British Daily Mail, Monchi would join Arsenal to restore the winning combination with Unay Emery. They had created a solid and winning team in Seville. La Gazzetta dello Sport also reports that Roma will bank €3 million thanks to the release clause included in Monchi’s contract.

Arsenal Chasing Monchi, Emery: I Have a Good Relationship With Him

Although Monchi has a long contract with the giallorossi (until 2021), Roma may have to find his replacement as soon as possible in order to plan proper moves for the summer. Reportedly, the club of Trigoria could decide to trust the duo BalzarettiMassara. Both of them are already working for the Italian side and, especially the latter has a great experience.

The legend of Rome Francesco Totti could be involved as well albeit the number 10 does not seem to have the professional connections necessary to cover this delicate role at this time.
