He joined Genoa just a couples of weeks ago but this is Sanabria’s second experience in Italy. He remembers Totti with admiration.
Antonio Sanabria could be another good pick for Genoa. The striker joined the Italian side right at the end of the January transfer window but he is already demonstrating his qualities.
He wants to do much better than his first adventure in Italy when he played for the giallorossi. In a recent interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, he also spoke about Roma and their legendary captain Francesco Totti.
“I didn’t know the language and I was very shy at that time. But now I’m ready for this new adventure,” said Sanabria. “I didn’t approach that season well and the match against Sassuolo was not good. I had played only 10 matches with Barcelona B so I didn’t have the necessary experience.”
“Totti? He is a great guy. When I was at Roma he was 37. But when we were playing during the training sessions I was always thinking…’How strong he is!’.”
