In today’s press conference, the captain of the giallorossi spoke about Kolarov’s clash with the Roma fans. De Rossi tries to mend the tear.
Tomorrow’s Champions League match against Porto seems to be vital for the giallorossi. Their 2018-19 campaign has been very poor but an eventual access to the next round of this international competition could change the overall perception of the fans.
Daniele De Rossi is a captain at 360 degrees. Although the team is completely focused on the next UCL battle, the Italian midfielder also spoke about Kolarov‘s recent clash with the Roma fans.
“I would be the happiest person in the world if this fracture could be solved. I love the Roma fans, they have always defended me. But Kolarov is a brother for me,” said De Rossi to the press.
“I can say to the fans to trust me. Kolarov is a great professional very dedicated to what he is doing here. I’m not saying that he was Romanista when he was young. But he is one who never skips a workout and plays in difficult situations sometimes.”
“I prefer someone like him to those who kiss the jersey and say sweet words to the fans but then they stop when they have a little pain,” continued De Rossi. “I hope tomorrow could be the right day to solve this issue. I would be very happy with that.“
